TEAM TROUPE WINS TRITON MEN’S VBALL LEAGUE

Young squad upends Team Andersen

PRESS RELEASE – Troupe was expected to the win the Triton Men’s Volleyball League championship on Sunday, but the Andersen Bombers wouldn’t agree to plan, defeating Troupe 3-2 and sending the championship to the “If Necessary” game on Tuesday night, but Troupe did come to play on Tuesday night and took home the trophy with a 3-0 victory over the Bombers in the University of Guam Calvo Field House.

Troupe played the match fast and hard, with several massive spikes and won the first set 25-18. They also captured the 2nd set in pretty much in the same fashion, 25-19 to go up 2-0.

Troupe was winning the 3rd set handily as well but subbed out some players at 23-18 and the Bombers came back to make the score 23-22, and Troupe then subbed the players into the match and won the set and the match 25-22.

Troupe finished their championship season with a 8-2 record. The Andersen Bombers completed the Triton League with a 5-6 record.

The Triton Men’s Volleyball League will return for the Fall Season in the September of 2025.

Ashley Samaniego and the UCLA Bruins made it to the NCAA Women’s Final Four, before losing to eventual champions UConn.
The 2007 Simon Sanchez graduate is in his first year with the Bruins women’s basketball team as the Director of Athletic Performance. This after years at California State University, Northridge in the same capacity.
Coach Ash must be bringing some goodness to the Bruins as UCLA is currently ranked #1 in the country and earned its first No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in program history.
