D1 BEACH PLAYERS MEET UP IN CALI MATCH
Serrano, Mendiola collegiate teams match up
Guam D1 beach volleyball players Kristen Serrano and Austia Mendiola had their teams square off today in the Big West Challenge at the Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex, California.
Serrano (L): University of Hawaii at Manoa ranked 17th, Blocker, currently traveling with team playing in position 4; graduated Academy Class of ’21.
Mendiola (R): California State University Northridge, Defender, currently traveling with team playing in position 2; graduated ND Class of ‘21.
Hawaii beat C-SUN 4-1.
Both players have expressed interest in representing Guam in this summer’s Pacific Mini Games in Palau.
