PRESS RELEASE – The Cruz Brothers, Levi “Luck” Cruz (10) and Sage Cruz (12), made waves at the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) Open, showcasing heart, technique, and championship grit on the mats. Representing Island Jiu Jitsu and Atos Team Guam, the Hawaii-based duo left no doubt why they’re among the most exciting young talents in the sport.

While older brother Sage is no stranger to the spotlight—coming into the tournament ranked 8th nationally in ADCC competition—this time it was Luck who stole the show. In a stunning display of control and composure, Luck secured double gold, winning both the 9-10 year old and 11-12 year old, 70-pound brackets. Even more impressive, he didn’t concede a single point in either division, dominating a field of 17 highly skilled competitors.

Sage still had a standout day of his own, earning one gold and one silver medal, further cementing his position among the best in the country. With the performance, Sage is expected to climb in the national ADCC rankings when the official results are released—potentially surpassing his current No. 8 spot.

Let’s wish the Cruz Brothers the best as they continue their incredible run and represent the next generation of Jiu-Jitsu excellence!
