For the third year in a row, the ISA Girls Volleyball League MVP hails from Simon Sanchez High School.
The 2024 MVP is Sanchez junior outside hitter Lyrwana (Lyra) Mugol, following the footsteps of 2022-23 MVP Kayna Kanemoto.
Mugol led the Sharks to a perfect 10-0 record and into the postseason where they take on the Okkodo Bulldogs in the semifinals this Saturday.
Mugol was the driving force behind Sanchez’s success. She averaged 15-20 serves per game and did not commit one service error. She averaged 2-3 aces and blocks per game and 5-8 kills per set, according to the Sharks statistician.
