John F. Kennedy Islanders catcher Tommie-Lyn Santos was selected as the league MVP for the 2024 ISA Girls Softball League season to lead the All-Island list.

Head coach Olivia Iriarte shares her appreciation to Santos, “I couldn’t be prouder of Tommie. Her exceptional performance as a catcher has earned her the well-deserved title of league MVP. She sets the bar high for all softball players in the league, pushing them to bring their best game. Tommie’s skills and dedication are unmatched, and she continues to inspire her teammates and opponents alike. Congratulations to her on this outstanding achievement,” said Iriarte.

Coach Marissa Maratita-Mantanane of the Cougars also shed light on Santos. “She’s the spear that led JFK to our [Academy] only loss this season. She’s a standout and I knew she was going to be a star,” said Maratita-Mantanane.

Coaches for the Tiyan Titans and Sanchez Sharks were not present for the All-Island meeting to nominate their girls. Although a nomination for both the teams players were brought up mid-way into the voting, none of the girls were selected due to no shows on the coaches part.
