AQUINO TAKES ON CHINA’S TOP WRESTLER
Mia Aquino falls to China’s Quianyu Pang in her Paris Olympics debut, wrestling in the 53kg division. Pang was the 2020 silver medalist in Tokyo.
The 26-year-old Aquino dropped a 10-0 match in which it ended via technical superiority – without any point scored by the opponent.
Pang would drop her semifinal match and will go for the bronze on Friday.
Aquino’s sister Rckaela competes in the 56kg division on Thursday.
