Guam is best in Micronesian spearfishing once again
Make it four gold medals in four straight Micronesian Games as Guam takes the top honors in team spearfishing.
Todd Genereux and Ray Flores led the charge on Wednesday in the waters of Majuro, catching 192 lbs. worth to capture gold once again. Safety divers Barnaby Acfalle and Tony Borja also received medals as part of the team.
It is Guam’s fifth team gold in Games history: 2024, 2018, 2014, 2010, 1998.
On Tuesday, Genereux won the individual gold medal when he speared 181 lbs. worth on his own for top honors.
