JUNIORS REMAIN UNDEFEATED, HOLD OFF RANGERS

Juniors hold off tough Rangers 7-6

The Guam Junior National Team has yet to taste defeat in the 2022 Guam Major League season after holding off the Talofofo Rangers 7-6 Tuesday night at the Paseo Stadium.

Starting pitchers Javi Concepcion for the Juniors and Rolen Rabago for the Rangers were in a pitchers duel for the first six innings with Talofofo clinging to a 1-0 lead.

The 7th inning is when the offensive fireworks came out as the Jr. Nats scored five runs on five hits. The Rangers scored three runs of their own on the bottom half.

John Salas, Jr. led the way for the Juniors, going 2-for-4 and 2 RBI. B.J. Balajadia, Guifan Terlaje, Jeremiah Sablan and Sean Belauro all added run-scoring hits.

Rabago went the distance in the loss. Andrew Taijeron had three hits for the Rangers.
