Two wins in two nights for Academy
Two nights, two wins for the two-time defending IIAAG Girls Volleyball Champion Academy Cougars.
The Cougars eased through the St. John’s Knights 25-17, 25-18, 25-20 Friday night at St. John’s, a night after opening their season with a win over the St. Paul Warriors on Thursday.
Sophomore outside hitter Hinengi San Nicolas led the Cougars with six kills, four coming in the final set. Senior libero Reika Tenorio was rock steady at the back with nine digs. 10th grade setter Ariana Cruz served up seven aces on the night.
