DUSIT SMILES GOLF CHARITY RAISES FUNDS FOR CHILDREN WITH CLEFT LIP AND CLEFT PALATE

The Dusit Smiles Golf Championship is gearing up for the return of another fun-filled community event to raise money for a much needed children’s cause.

Tumon, Guam April 2019 –  The Dusit Smiles Golf Championship is gearing up for the return of another fun-filled community event to raise money for a much needed children’s cause.

Thanks to the generous support of dozens of businesses and golf enthusiasts, Dusit Smiles Inc. has raised over $45,000.00 from previous golf tournaments.  This money goes directly to subsidize the medical needs of Guam children in need of surgery for cleft lip and cleft palate.

Golf enthusiasts and supporters of Dusit Smiles can look forward to participating this year at the Leo Palace Resort Country Club on Friday, April 26th with the island’s best golf awards banquet to follow at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort.

Dusit Smiles Inc. is a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing safe, effective reconstructive surgery and related medical care for children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate.

All funds go directly to Guam children with the surgeries being performed in partnership with two local doctors, Dr. Darius Richardson of Pacific Surgical Arts and Dr. John Fegurgur of Hafa Adai Specialists.

Ashley Samaniego and the UCLA Bruins made it to the NCAA Women’s Final Four, before losing to eventual champions UConn.
The 2007 Simon Sanchez graduate is in his first year with the Bruins women’s basketball team as the Director of Athletic Performance. This after years at California State University, Northridge in the same capacity.
Coach Ash must be bringing some goodness to the Bruins as UCLA is currently ranked #1 in the country and earned its first No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in program history.
