KONQER HOSTS FOURTH ANNUAL EVENT AT LEO PALACE

KONQER, Guam’s original obstacle course challenge, is hosting its fourth annual event on Saturday, June 16 at Leo Palace Resort and will feature fun activities for the entire family.

Tumon, GU – KONQER, Guam’s original obstacle course challenge, is hosting its fourth annual event on Saturday, June 16 at Leo Palace Resort and will feature fun activities for the entire family, according to KONQER Sports President Kelli Wedd.

“We are thrilled to use the gorgeous Leo Palace Resort as the location for our fourth event on Guam and seventh KONQER event overall,” said Wedd. “Participants can enjoy both an on- and off-road run course, kayak challenge, and of course, our signature manmade obstacles. Altogether, we will have nearly two dozen challenges and obstacles for everyone to conquer.”

The competitive Enduro solo division is set to start at 9 a.m., with start times for the other teams and individuals distributed on a first come, first served basis.

“In order to better accommodate our participants’ schedules, we are deploying a new starting system this year, which will assign start times once the team or individual has completed the check-in process,” said Wedd. “Participants will need to arrive at least an hour before they would like to start, and we will start them as course flow safely allows.”

While participants are awaiting their designated start time, Leo Palace is offering participants to try out their recent addition to the property — a 100-foot inflatable waterslide. Other on-site activities also include the Giant bike challenge featuring Giant push bikes for kids and regular bikes for adults, the Nissan Titan truck pull and the IT&E two-person challenge, testing participants’ strength and coordination.

For spectators, admission to the event is free, and attendees can enjoy the Leo Palace food and beer garden, featuring a delicious menu from Leo Palace kitchen and Coors Light.

Event day registration is available for $100 for adults, $40 for students 15 to 17 and, with all KONQER events, kids age 14 and under are free. Visit the check-in area on event day for more details.

“We invite everyone to Leo Palace on Saturday and enjoy everything KONQER has to offer,” said Wedd. “Come out and play!”

KONQER is sponsored by Bank of Guam, Leo Palace, IT&E, Coors Light, Guam Visitors Bureau, Agbayani Construction Company, Go Pro, DR Safety Consultant, Hornet Sports, Giant Bicycles, Vantage Advertising, Alupang Beach Club, Delmonico Kitchen & Bar, Nissan Guam and Trivision Media Group.
