GUAM BEACH VOLLEYBALL TO PLAY FOR TWO BRONZE MEDALS
Team Guam came out blazing in their semifinals match against RMI, taking the 1st set in dominant fashion 21-11. RMI would bounce back in the 2nd set before eventually dominating the 3rd, knocking Guam into the bronze medal match later in the day.
Colonia, Yap – Guam’s Shintaro Okada and Ryan Eugenio secured a bronze medal with a victory over Yap in straight sets 21-18, 21-17 to conclude Guam’s beach volleyball run.
Team Guam’s duo of Tatiana Sablan and Kiara Rojas came out blazing in their semifinals match against RMI, taking the 1st set in dominant fashion 21-11. RMI would bounce back in the 2nd set before eventually dominating the 3rd, knocking Guam into the bronze medal match.
Guam would fall to RMI 2 for bronze 11-21, 21-19, 15-9.
Palau edges Guam
In the men’s semifinals, Team Palau replicated their success against Guam by knocking down the gold hopefuls into the bronze medal game. After dropping a convincing 1st set to Palau 21-8, Guam rebounded and took a lead 18-17 in the 2nd.
