Bleu Perez has had quite a debut indoor season. The 2014 FD Alum set personal bests in the 60-meter dash and broke the Guam National Record twice.

On February 12 at the University of Washington Indoor Meet, Perez ran a 7.15 second 60-meter dash breaking Jude Martinez’s previous record. Last week, Perez again lowered his time at the WAC Indoor Championships running a 7.11 second time. He also ran a personal best indoor 200 Meters of 22.67 seconds.

Perez has shown great improvement since his senior year of high school at FD. He relocated with his family to Washington after high school. He attended Pierce Junior College and ran for a local track club since the school did not have a track program.

Bleu transferred to Seattle University in January just in time for the Indoor Season. Perez was selected as an Olympic Alternate for Guam in 2016. He aspires to represent Guam at the 2020 Olympics. Perez is studying to become a physical therapist.

The 2007 Simon Sanchez graduate is in his first year with the Bruins women’s basketball team as the Director of Athletic Performance. This after years at California State University, Northridge in the same capacity.
Coach Ash must be bringing some goodness to the Bruins as UCLA is currently ranked #1 in the country and earned its first No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in program history.
