The Angels have booked their tickets to the GYNFF championship after they defeated the Tamuning Steelers in a rainy defensive battle at the Tamuning field Sunday afternoon. The Angels exited the match after defeating the Steelers 12-0.
The entire first half and the majority of the third quarter was all a defensive shutout, as there were many forced punts and a couple of interceptions from both teams. The Angels would have scored three more touchdowns than they originally did, had it not been for the countless penalty markers, all of which greatly upset the players, coaches, and fans.
The first touchdown of the day that was not called back upon by a flag was scored when Marcus Camacho stormed 80 yards to the end zone to put his Angels on the board first. After the two point kick, the score was 8-0.

The second touchdown of the game was scored after the Steelers fumbled the ball at a dangerous field position. After the fumble recovery, Ethan Lizama ran a short distance into the end zone to make the score 12-0, as they did not get the extra point after.
“We take it one game at a time, we’re going to work hard like we have from the first day of practice. The kids have gone through a vast improvement. They have peaked just at the right time for the championship,” said the Angels head coach Buzzy Shiroma after the win.
One of the touchdowns that was called back was a very impressive punt return made by Cristian Cruz, who ran more than 70 yards to the house.
The Angels will play in the championship game against the top seeded Packers.
