The legendary Royce Gracie is officially on Guam.

After months of planning, the pioneer of MMA and jiu-jitsu alike came gliding through the Guam Airport with a giant smile despite it being a quarter past midnight, Guam time.

Fans expecting the legend had their phones ready for pictures and those unexpected had to double-take as the most famous of the renowned Gracie family wandered through.

“The flight was easy,” said Gracie with his award winning smile. “Finding time to get out here was the hard part, but I like it so far!”

Gracie’s four-day stay is booked with events, kicking off Saturday with the GSPN Kids Jiu-Jitsu tournament at the Agana Shopping Center, go time 1 pm.

The 2007 Simon Sanchez graduate is in his first year with the Bruins women’s basketball team as the Director of Athletic Performance. This after years at California State University, Northridge in the same capacity.
Coach Ash must be bringing some goodness to the Bruins as UCLA is currently ranked #1 in the country and earned its first No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in program history.
