SENIOR ALL-STARS DOWN HONG KONG 10-7

Guam drops Hong Kong in Senior League Asian Pacific action.

SAIPAN – Guam’s Senior Division (ages 14-16) All-Stars evened their record with a 10-7 win over Hong Kong at the 2015 Asia Pacific Regional Little League Tournament in Saipan, CNMI. Gavin Salas picked up the win going 4 1/3 innings giving up six runs, nine hits, striking out two and allowed three walks. Yan Mak suffered the loss. Guam’s Seniors will face the Philippines on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11 am.

Zeng Sheng Chun took the complete game win pitching a shut out allowing just four hits, striking out 11 and giving up just one walk. Julian Flores suffered the loss going six innings, giving up five runs, seven hits, with a strikeout and three walks. Napu San Miguel and Sage Afaisen were each 1-3, Daniel Cruz was 1-4, with Javin Delgado at 1-2 for the night.  Guam’s Big League All-Stars will face the Philippines on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 5p.m.

Guam’s Junior Division All-Stars had a bye on Sunday, June 28, 2015 and will take the field against the Philippines on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 1 p.m.

Ashley Samaniego and the UCLA Bruins made it to the NCAA Women’s Final Four, before losing to eventual champions UConn.
The 2007 Simon Sanchez graduate is in his first year with the Bruins women’s basketball team as the Director of Athletic Performance. This after years at California State University, Northridge in the same capacity.
Coach Ash must be bringing some goodness to the Bruins as UCLA is currently ranked #1 in the country and earned its first No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in program history.
