PXC 50 READY FOR ITS GOLDEN EVENT

The 50th edition of the PXC is set for December 4th on Guam!

PRESS RELEASE – PXC-50 will feature two title bouts headlining a stacked card of up to 10 premier matchups on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the newly renovated UOG Calvo

Fieldhouse. Doors will open at 5:30 PM and the first fight of the night will begin at 7:30PM.

Lightweight Title: Camacho versus Jones for vacant belt

Both Frank Camacho (17-3) and Tyrone Jones (5-4) are coming off of stellar wins at PXC-49. Both fighters have proven to be at the top of the weight class – vacated by retired champ Chuji Kato of Japan. Camacho is known for his knockout power and aggressive style and is the perfect matchup for Jones — who has shown similar knockout power and aggression.

Featherweight Title: Volkanovski (USA) challenges Reigning Champ, Yusuke Yachi (Japan)

Alex Volkanovski (10-1) finally gets his chance at the featherweight champ Yusuke Yachi (13-4) on December 4th. Volkanovski secured the title shot in 2014 with a commanding victory over Kyle Reyes. Yusuke Yachi earned the title when he defeated former champion Jang Yong Kim in March of 2015 by TKO. Yachi is looking to successfully defend this title for the first time.

Full fight card will be announced shortly.

The card will feature the return of Guam’s Brogan Walker as well as the debut of fellow female Guamanian, Tessa Simpson. Stay tuned for more information on these bouts plus more!

PXC-50 is presented by Miller Lite, IT&E, and the stations of KUAM. Also brought to you by 76 Circle K, Monster Energy, Cars Plus Jeep, Guam Harley Davidson, Pacific Islands Club, Gatorade, Hanom For more information on PXC-50, check out www.pacificxtremecombat.com, visit us on Facebook.

The 2007 Simon Sanchez graduate is in his first year with the Bruins women’s basketball team as the Director of Athletic Performance. This after years at California State University, Northridge in the same capacity.
Coach Ash must be bringing some goodness to the Bruins as UCLA is currently ranked #1 in the country and earned its first No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in program history.
