The AM Insurance Orioles pitched a combined no-hitter Tuesday night after Luis San Nicolas, Freddy Cepeda, and Florencio Binuya all aided in the shutout, blanking the Yona Redhawks 11-0 after seven complete innings via 10-run rule in the Budweiser Baseball League.

San Nicolas started at the mound and finished with three strikeouts while Florencio Binona closed out the game with three strikeouts as well. Orioles’ Cepeda got the win while pitching four strikeouts.

John Hattig Jr. capped off a stellar 3rd inning for the Orioles knocking a two-run home run to extend the Orioles lead to 9-0.

Shane McDonald brought in Jathan Muna-Barnes in the 3rd inning with an RBI double which started off a series of runs for the Orioles leading just 3-0 entering the inning. Teammates Mike Aguon then brought in McDonald with another RBI double making it a rough night for Redhawks Gabriel Pangelinan.

Shon Muna Jr. then got into the action bringing home Aguon on another RBI double, the third straight for the Orioles as the have been clicking well in the BBL’s early goings to go up 5-0 still in the top of the third inning.

Two more runs were scored off an error and fielders choice before Hattig Jr.’s home run to put the game nearly out of reach with the momentum swinging the Orioles way all night.

A sac-fly and error brought in the 10th and 11th run in the top of the 7th inning while the Orioles defense closed out the Redhawks who went three batters out in the bottom of the 7th to end the game.

Hattig Jr. went 2-3 scoring two runs and getting five RBI’s as well as his 3rd inning homer. Along with McDonald, Aguon and Muna, JR Mariano had a double as well going 1-4 while scoring two runs.

The Orioles improve to a league best and undefeated (6-0) while the Redhawks drop to (1-5) with their only win coming off an impressive showing against the BOG Athletics.

Friday BBL action will continue with the Paradise Fitness Jr. Nationals (3-2) taking on the 76 Cardinals (2-3).
