Good friends Jason ‘JD’ Iriarte and Marcos Fong ventured out to the Philippines and conquered the Asia-Pacific Jiu Jitsu Tournament at the Mall of Asia with some extra hardware.
Iriarte, who’s competed in the tournament a few times, won two gold, one silver and one bronze while Fong, a first-timer in the tournament, came home with a silver and bronze.

“I am so greatful to have had the pleasure of coaching Marcos for the 2014 Asia-Pacific Tournament,” Iriarte said. “He has been a great student of the art and an even better friend. ‘You fought hard against guys twice your size with great technique and composure. I am very proud of you brother.'”
