One more win and it will be a perfect Miller Football League season for the Pepsi Warriors.

Pepsi took care of business Saturday afternoon by wiping out the Chili’s Falcons 41-0 at the UOG field and moves on to the Miller Bowl next Saturday.

The Pepsi defense was rolling on all cylinders and showed no mercy to their opponents as the Falcons were never able to advance the ball beyond their own 31-yard line for the first three quarters.

While the defense was showing its usual dominance, the dynamic backfield of Xavier Reyes, Dave Delgado and Hosea Ware ran wild for a combined five rushing touchdowns.

Ware got the Warriors on the board first with a five-yard plunge in the first quarter, but that was all they could muster as the Falcons held strong.

Pepsi blew it wide open in the second quarter, scoring 21 points as Reyes and Delgado hit paydirt as well as a fumble recovery for a touchdown by Don Keraskes.

Holding a 27-0 halftime lead, the Warriors cruised from there knowing that the Miller Bowl is in sight.

In the third, Ware found his stride, breaking free for a huge 22-yard gain into Falcon territory. Quarterback Paul Unger connected with Alex Azcarraga for a 37-yard pass deep in the Falcon zone at the two-yard line. Ware would punch it in on the next play making the score 33-0 midway through the third. Tommy Medler and a couple of Falcons were able to block the PAT, but Wood would recover and lateral to Anthony Aguon who scored two points making the score 35-0.

The Falcons struggled offensively all day and didn’t get their first first down until the fourth quarter on a penalty, no less.

Reyes wrapped up the scoring spree with a 21-yard jaunt late in the game.

The Warriors are back in the championship game and hope to finish the season undefeated. Last season, Pepsi fell to CarsPlus 26-13 in the Miller Bowl.
