J.P. Cruz went on a 10-0 scoring run midway through the first-half to give the Tamuning Typhoons I team a 37-20 lead that kept growing. Cruz finished with 25 points in the 92-59 romping, giving the Typhoons I the semifinals win, setting up a championship game showdown between the Andersen Bombers.
Typhoons I Joe Blas has been another shining star on the talented Typhoons roster, finishing with 22 points. Blas scored 11 of the Typhoons first 13 points, and got their first double-digit lead off back-to-back three pointers from Reggie Rechebong and James Stake at 20-10.
Calvin Fejeran hit a pair of three pointers to cut the lead to single digits, 27-20, before the Typhoons I called a timeout to regroup. Cruz then came firing out of the timeout, scoring 10-straight points to extend the lead 37-20. The Typhoons rallied behind Cruz and worked up a 50-25 halftime lead.
The three-point shooting did not cool off in the second half with the Typhoons I sinking six more threes, giving them 14 for the game.
Derrick Royster added 15 and Rechebong finished with 12 for the Typhoons.
Sandy Fejeran led the Falcons in scoring with 20 points while teammate Patrick Taitano had 13 and Calvin chipped in with 12.
Bombers 82, Agat MO 36

The slam dunk is a relatively foreign basketball play to most of Guam fans and not even some of the Agat MO fans could hold back cheers when the Andersen Bombers dunked the ball.
Ollie Bradley led the Bombers with 25 points but teammate Ladget Glover stole the show early with his fast break dunk to give the Bombers a quick 7-0 run.
After building a 22-5 lead, Glover was involved with another dunk, but on the playmaking end as he tossed an under-hand scoop off the glass to teammate Ronnie Jamison who dunked it home to extend the lead to 29-9.
The Bombers pushed the lead to 51-15 at halftime and coasted the rest of the game.
Anthony Babauta led Agat MO in scoring with nine points.
The championship game is set for 7:15 p.m. Thursday night, after the 18U Championship game at 6 p.m. The Typhoons I finished the regular season undefeated while the Bombers hope to avenge the late season loss.
