In IIAAG high school baseball, the Father Duenas Friars took home a 12-2 victory over the GW Geckos Saturday morning at the Geckos’ home field.

Up 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning, the bases were loaded after GW’s Nathan Cruz walked three batters to first base. Taking advantage of the situation, FD’s Kel Fancisco whacked a three RBI single into right field, just out of reach of GW’s right fielder, bringing in Blayne Hattori, Kole Ada, and Tyler Okiyama.

Later in the top of the seventh, Tristan Debold hit a three RBI triple—his second triple of the game—hitting it just out of reach of GW’s left fielder, to bring in teammates Javen Delgado, Francisco, and Napu San Miguel.

The Friars jumped to an early lead in the top of the first off Francisco’s two RBI double that brought in Delgado and Angelo Molinos. In the top of the fifth the Friars touched home plate four more times, including Okiyama’s RBI single.

In the loss, Calvin Valentine and Nathan Cruz scored the only runs for the Geckos.
