CAMACHO, HEATH CAPTURE THAILAND SLOTS

PRESS RELEASE – Redge Camacho fired a 74-71=145  to win the 15-17 boy’s slot in the 2012 Thailand Junior World Golf Championship.  Camacho fired four birdies on the difficult Guam International Country Club’s championship course.  Nalapon Vongjalorn shot a 172 to finish in second place.

Jordan Heath, Guam’s top 15-17 female junior golfer, was unopposed in the 15-17 Girls Division.  She will lead Guam’s Girls’ Team in the Thailand tournament.

Devin Hua played steady golf as he captured the 13-14  Boy’s slot.  He also played from the championship tees and shot 78-75-153 on his way to a five stroke victory over Terance Camacho.

Nalathai Vongjalorn, Guam’s Ladies Champion, shot 82-78-160 to win the 13-14 Girl’s slot.  Mary Parsons carded a 83-83-166 to finish second.

These four junior golfers will travel to Bangkok in November to compete in this prestigious international junior golf event.  The Thailand Golf Association will provide free accommodations, entry fees, meals, and local transportation to the Guam Team members.
