4 OF 6 MONSOON SERIES IN THE BOOKS
PRESS RELEASE – Last Sunday the Guam International Raceway saw the fourth round of the six round Monster Energy Offroad Monsoon Series. With classes that included both motorcycles in the youth mini classes along with older riders competing in the full bore engine classes. The races kicked off at 1 pm and it was hot with clear skies and cool breezes. Free to the public to come out and watch with the racing being action packed all afternoon.

The course for the big bore classes was a rough and tough motocross layout that saw riders banging bars as the fought for position. Each class ran in a two heat format with each heats results going towards their overall results.
Highlights
In the Open Motorcycle class #31 Tim Wenden aboard his Rocky Mountain Precast supported Honda 450 pulled to an early lead in both heat one and two and was a locomotive as he easily took the heat win. Taking second was #42 JR Cepeda aboard the Cycles Plus Kawasaki 250. Cepeda kept it close up front but was never able to match the speed of Wenden. Taking third was #3 Jacob Einloth aboard his Yamaha 250 with #98 Marshal Vawter Jr. in fourth on a Yamaha and #19 Zachary Chang taking fifth aboard a Honda. Marshal Vawter jr. remains the current points leader heading into this Sundays round 5 event.
In the Kids Minibike class #29 Yamaha mounted Ethan Camacho was able to take an early lead over the #12 of Stoney Bucek racing aboard the team Cycles Plus Kawasaki 85 and #88 Ry’niko Camacho also aboard a Kawasaki. Both Bucek and Camacho put on a great battle with Bucek taking the win. Bucek currently leads the series over Ethan Camacho by just a mere eight points.
Up next will be round 5 of the Monster Energy Offroad Monsoon Race Series on Sunday November 18th. The event will see the big Open atv and motorcycle classes racing a loop for one hour. Besides trees, rocks and spiders the loop will consist of rugged back country slippery single track jungle trails along with portions of both the popular Shell V-Power Smokin Wheels course and the high flying motocross course. Gates open at 9 am at the Guam International Raceway Rt15 Yigo with racing scheduled to start at 1pm with a full day of off road racing.
